UUS Bank DKI and the Jakarta Fatahillah Education Foundation Establish Collaboration on Sharia Banking Transactions

Jakarta – In order to expand the use of Bank DKI sharia banking products, especially in the world of education, Bank DKI together with the Jakarta Fatahillah Education Foundation agreed to collaborate, which was officially marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Utilization of Sharia Banking Services and Products, in Jakarta on Thursday (25/07).

With the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, Bank DKI is ready to provide support for sharia banking transactions for the Jakarta Fatahillah Education Foundation which oversees the STIE Indonesia Jakarta educational institution, starting from Cash Management System (CMS) services, opening Savings, Current and Deposit accounts, Hajj and Umrah registration services, to sharia economic potential empowerment programs for communities within the Jakarta Fatahillah Education Foundation.

The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, in a written statement said, "Bank DKI's support for sharia banking transactions at the Jakarta Fatahillah Education Foundation is part of our commitment to expand accessibility to sharia financial services in various sectors, including the education ecosystem," said Agus.

Furthermore, Agus expressed the hope that this synergy could provide positive benefits for users of Bank DKI services at this Foundation, as well as being the first step to increase financial inclusion in the Jakarta area, he said.

Apart from supporting sharia financial services, this collaboration also covers the education sector, including service and research for lecturers, student internship programs, publication collaboration between institutions, as well as collaboration in other forms that benefit both parties.

Bank DKI's support in the education sector also includes being a facilitator for the distribution of Jakarta Smart Cards and Jakarta Excellent Student Cards, School Operational Assistance and Educational Operational Assistance. Bank DKI has also launched the Student Loan program, which is a loan program for financing tuition fees with a multipurpose scheme which aims to provide affordable and easily accessible financial solutions for students. Including Bank DKI's collaboration with Gunadarma University, Padjadjaran University, STIA LAN, Institute of Domestic Government, Jakarta State University, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, National University, Sebelas Maret State University and will continue to be expanded with a number of other leading universities

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, stated, "This collaboration shows Bank DKI's commitment to supporting the education sector through innovative and integrated sharia financial services. We hope that this collaboration can have a positive impact and empower the education community in Jakarta," added Arie.

In line with that, the Chancellor of STIE Indonesia Jakarta, Prof. Drs. Ridwan Maronrong, M. Sc welcomed the collaboration and hoped that this would be the beginning of a series of synergies that would exist between Bank DKI and STIE Indonesia in the future. "This collaboration is an important step in supporting the advancement of sharia financial education and inclusion in Jakarta, especially at STIE Indonesia Jakarta," concluded Ridwan.
