Supporting Food Security in Jakarta, Bank DKI Strengthens DKI BUMD Synergy

PT Bank DKI disbursed funds for food needs for DKI Jakarta residents worth Rp. 300-Rp. 400 billion to two Regional-Owned Enterprises to support the 2020 cheap food program. "The two BUMDs that have collaborated with us are PT Food Station and PD Dharma Jaya. Each Rp. 300 billion to Rp. 400 billion," said Bank DKI President Director Zainudin Mappa after being a speaker at the National Seminar on Regional BPDs across Indonesia, DKI Jakarta BUMD Synergy. held at the Mercure Ancol Hotel, North Jakarta (22/02).
This collaboration was initiated based on Gubernatorial Regulation Number 93 of 2018 concerning Amendments to Gubernatorial Regulation Number 6 of 2018 concerning the Provision and Distribution of Food at Low Prices for Certain Communities. Zainudin said that Food Station and Darma Jaya function as providers of food needs for the people of DKI. "They need additional capital to supply the community. The nature of the circulation of funds is through commercial funding," he said.
Apart from providing capital funds, Bank DKI also enters the market ecosystem by helping smooth payments through payment platforms for ease of consumer transactions. "The financing mechanism is adjusted to each business ecosystem," he said.
Apart from distributing credit to BUMD DKI Jakarta, Bank DKI also supports cheap food operations organized by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Bank DKI Together with the DKI KPKP Service, PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, PD. Dharma Jaya and Perumda Pasar Jaya are holding the Jakarta Cheap Food Program. This program, which takes place every month, sells beef for IDR 35 thousand/kg, buffalo meat IDR 30 thousand/kg, chicken meat IDR 8 thousand/kg, chicken eggs IDR 10 thousand/15 pieces, rice IDR 30 thousand/5 kg, mackerel fish IDR 13 thousand/kg, and UHT milk IDR 30 thousand/carton (24 pack).
This program targets certain community groups, including holders of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus, Jakarta Worker Card (KPJ), Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ), Jakarta Persons with Disabilities Card (KPDJ), Public Infrastructure and Facilities Officers (PPSU) and Casual Daily Employees (PHL) with UMP income.
Cheap Food is held every Monday to Saturday at 08.00-17.00 WIB at Dharma Jaya outlets, markets managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya, JakGrosir, JakMart and Integrated Entrepreneurship Outlets. Apart from that, you can also visit a number of flats and RPTRAs that have been scheduled by the DKI Jakarta Province KPKP Service.
