Bank DKI continues to encourage the implementation of non-cash transactions by developing digital banking to better serve customers, especially communities in DKI Jakarta. The increasingly rapid development of technology makes the migration from conventional to digital banking even faster. And Bank DKI has anticipated this for a long time. This was stated by the Director of MSMEs and Sharia at Bank DKI Babay Parid Wazdi in the Banking Industry Perspective webinar held by Markplus in Jakarta, Tuesday (29/09).
Babay Parid Wazdi said that Bank DKI has been issuing the JakCard electronic money product since 2007, and continues to carry out digital transformation to this day. He also said that in the future Bank DKI will continue to accelerate digital banking amidst increasingly high competition and the public's need for modern, safe and comfortable banking transactions.
Furthermore, he also said that Bank DKI is not only transforming digitally, but also managing its customers by embracing various communities in DKI Jakarta. "So our digital products are used by existing communities. IN DKI there are many communities from RT/RW, hospitals, education to waste banks. We manage this so they can actively use digital transactions," he said. By actively managing customers, it is hoped that the funds stored in the bank will also increase. So that it becomes capital for future credit distribution.
Apart from JakCard, Bank DKI currently has the JakOne Mobile digital banking financial service application which can be used for daily transaction payments. Finally, Bank DKI together with Samsat DKI launched the Si Ondel application which makes it easier for people to pay their vehicle tax. "And not only does it offer convenience in paying taxes, users of this application will also receive proof of payment at home. So there is no need to leave the house to pay vehicle tax," stressed Babay.
Economic observer Avialiani who was present at the discussion said that transformation towards digital cannot be avoided by banks. Because if that is not done, the bank will abandon its customers.
