Successfully Leading Bank DKI to Rapid Growth, Bank DKI President Director Fidri Arnaldy Wins Indonesia Best 50 CEO Awards 2023

Jakarta – The success of the President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy in leading Bank DKI to grow rapidly while remaining prudent and healthy during challenging economic conditions, was appreciated by The Iconomics being awarded the Best CEO Category Regional bank from the 50 best CEOs from various BUMN, BUMD and national/international private companies. The award ceremony was received directly by the President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy at the Indonesia Best 50 CEO Awards 2023 Employees Choice & Indonesia Most Popular CEO 2023 in Jakarta on Thursday (06/04).
The President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy, expressed his gratitude for the award given. "This award is certainly a valuable appreciation in leading the Transformation 5.0 program at Bank DKI. Important attention regarding the meaning of leadership is also our concern as professional bankers as well as role models, that Leadership is Action Not Position."
Even more special, the award received by the President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy, is the only CEO/Main Director who comes from a Regional Development Bank (BPD). The awards received also complement previous individual awards, namely as Top CEO BUMD 2022 from Top Business, The Most Committed GRC Leader 2022 by Top Business, TOP 100 CEO 2022 by Infobank magazine, Top Leader on Digital Implementation 2022 from IT Works, Indonesia Most Acclaimed CEO 2022 with outstanding Leadership in Provinding Realiable Banking Services from Warta Ekonomi, and most recently as The Best CEO for Corporate Digital Transformation of The Year 2023 by ITECH. Apart from that, under his leadership, Bank DKI also succeeded in achieving the title of 20 Best Banks and the only BPD in Indonesia to be included in the ranks of the World's Best Banks or Best Banks in the World in 2022 according to Forbes magazine.
Fidri further said that this award is also a special gift for Bank DKI in welcoming its 62nd anniversary on April 11 2023. "Hopefully this award will be a motivation for all Bank DKI people to continue to contribute their best to the progress of Bank DKI in its increasingly mature age. To ensure Jakarta's success for Indonesia, Bank DKI is adding a network of new branch offices in the Semarang, Lampung and Sidoarjo areas," said Fidri.
The Indonesia Best 50 CEO Awards 2023 is a form of appreciation for the CEOs chosen by the panelists and The Iconomics who come from multi-industry BUMN, BUMD and national and international private companies. The assessment was carried out by Axia Research through research using several criteria, including (1) Popularity, (2) Competency, (3) Personality, and (4) Crisis Leadership. Research was conducted on more than 6,000 respondents and the CEOs who won the award were those who achieved the highest score in each industry category or met a minimum score of 3.75 on a scale of 4.00.
Meanwhile, Founder & CEO of The Iconomics, Bram Putro, said that awards were given to company leaders for their brave leadership but still accompanied by caution which is really needed for business recovery to emerge from the pandemic era. "CEOs or organizational leaders are role models in carrying out innovation maneuvers so that their instincts are really needed to face various new scenarios," said Bram Putro.
The Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan, who was also present as the keynote speaker, on the same occasion said that currently all elements are working so that Indonesia's ideals as a developed country and the vision of Indonesia 2045 can be realized, so to achieve this they must be able to create business opportunities, both in the domestic and global markets. According to Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan, the best CEOs selected today are leaders who can bring the institutions or companies they lead to become world-class companies. The improvement in Bank DKI's performance under the leadership of the President Director, Fidri Arnaldy, which has grown rapidly and healthily, as reflected in Bank DKI's Bank Health Level (TKB) category 2 (Good) for 2 years, is worthy of appreciation. Bank DKI closed 2022 with the achievement of recording an increase in net profit for the December 2022 period to IDR 939.11 billion, which is the Company's highest profit achievement since its founding. Profit grew 29.11% compared to the December 2021 period of IDR 727.36 billion. This is also supported by an increase in total assets of 11.51% to IDR 78.88 trillion in December 2022, from IDR 70.74 trillion in the same period the previous year. This increase in assets is a separate achievement record, where Bank DKI's asset position when Fidri Arnaldy joined as President Director of Bank DKI in June 2021 was still at IDR 56.72 trillion, which means there has been an increase in assets of more than IDR 22 trillion.
Bank DKI is also increasingly adaptive in developing digital banking services to expand public financial access by presenting various digital applications, such as the JakOne Mobile super apps, JakOne Pay simple apps, JakOne Abank and other digital banking services such as the Cash Management System, as well as developing digital lending applications for credit and financing facilities. In terms of card-based non-cash transaction services, Bank DKI continues to expand the acceptance of JakCard as an electronic money card for various DKI Jakarta transportation modes, entrance tickets to museums and tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and BUMD, to transactions at various merchants collaborating with DKI Bank.
