Synergy between Bank Jakarta and APKLI Perjuangan, Encouraging the Use of Banking Products and Services for MSMEs and Street Vendors

Jakarta – In order to expand access to financial services for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and street vendors (PKL), Bank Jakarta and the Indonesian Street Vendors Association (APKLI) Perjuangan have collaborated, which was officially marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Utilization of Banking Services and Products by the Main Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, and the General Chairperson of APKLI Perjuangan, dr. Ali Mahsun M. Biomed, in Jakarta on Wednesday (20/8).

Through the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, Bank Jakarta is ready to provide banking service transaction support that can be utilized by APKLI Perjuangan members, starting from opening Savings, Current and Deposit accounts, Cash Management System (CMS) services for financial management for traders, to access to micro, small and medium business financing facilities for business development.

The President Director of Bank Jakarta, Agus H. Widodo said, "This collaboration is a concrete step for Bank Jakarta in supporting the empowerment of MSMEs and street vendors as the backbone of the people's economy. By providing financial access that is easy, safe and according to their needs, we hope to help small businesses increase their capacity and expand their businesses," said Agus.

Furthermore, Agus emphasized that this collaboration continues to emphasize Bank Jakarta's commitment to be closer to the community, especially small businesses and street vendors, by providing financial service solutions that are inclusive, adaptive and relevant to needs. This synergy is also expected to become an important foundation in building a stronger, more competitive and sustainable people's economic ecosystem in the DKI Jakarta region and nationally.

In line with that, the General Chairperson of APKLI Perjuangan, dr. Ali Mahsun, welcomed this collaboration and believed that the synergy with Bank Jakarta would pave the way for APKLI Perjuangan members to expand access to banking services which had been limited. "This will of course also strengthen the role of street vendors and MSMEs in supporting people's economic growth in Indonesia," he said.

Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, added that support for MSMEs and street vendors is also realized through Bank Jakarta's digital services, especially the JakOne Mobile application. "Through JakOne Mobile, traders can easily carry out various transactions, starting from payments via QRIS, paying various bills, such as electricity, water, to e-wallet top-ups. These features not only make daily transactions easier, but also encourage digital financial literacy for traders so they are better prepared to adapt to the digital economic era," concluded Arie.
