Consistently Realizing Sustainable Development through TJSL, Bank DKI Wins Indonesia Best CSR Award 2024

Jakarta – Bank DKI's active steps in supporting Sustainable Development through Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have once again received appreciation. This time, Bank DKI won the award as Indonesia Best CSR in Bank Sector 2024 from the independent institution The Iconomics, which was given directly by the Founder & CEO of The Iconomics, Bram S. Putro at the 6th Indonesia CSR Awards 2024 in Jakarta on Tuesday (07/05).

Director of Technology and Operations and Acting Director (Plt.) of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, expressed his gratitude to The Iconomics for the award given and also dedicated it to all stakeholders.

"This award is an appreciation for Bank DKI's various efforts in realizing sustainable business, one of which is through the TJSL program. Bank DKI continues to encourage the implementation of TJSL which is integrated with business activities," said Amirul.

Amirul further said that as a financial services institution, Bank DKI has a direction and focus in implementing CSR/TJSL, including education, banking education, social, environmental, and arts and culture. Most recently, Bank DKI inaugurated a hydroponic garden at Rusunawa Pasar Rebo which is the 10th flat in the Jakarta Hydroponic Cooperative (JAKONIK) program. Furthermore, Bank DKI also provided educational assistance for people with cerebral palsy through the Jakarta Foundation for the Development of Disabled Children (YPAC). At the beginning of 2024 Bank DKI participated in a program to provide adequate nutrition to handle stunting in the DKI Jakarta area as an effort to support one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) points 2 and 3, namely creating conditions without hunger, and a healthy and prosperous life.

For your information, this annual awards event organized by The Iconomics and supported by Axia Research is a form of appreciation for companies in Indonesia that have carried out CSR or TJSL activities over the past year and have had a significant impact on society. It is hoped that this award can encourage companies to prioritize TJSL not only as a company obligation, but also as part of the company's strategy to improve its positive image to stakeholders.

The assessment carried out to determine the winner of "Indonesia Best CSR 2024" was carried out through an online survey in 10 large cities in Indonesia randomly to more than 10,000 respondents, through 2 aspects, namely CSR Activity Awareness to see to what extent the public knows about CSR activities that have been carried out by the company, and CSR Image to find out to what extent the public feels that the company has been socially responsible.

On a separate occasion, Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi said that Bank DKI continues to increase the Bank's positive contribution to society through sustainable TJSL programs.
